Computers/Technology Classes · Disability Pride Month · Featured Events · Workshops & Classes · All Adults · Older Adults · Young Adults (Ages 20-34)
Did you know your iPhone or iPad has powerful tools to make it easier to read, hear, and navigate? Join us for an introductory, hands-on workshop to learn how to customize your device to fit your unique needs. We will demystify the Accessibility menu and show you how to make your daily tech experience more comfortable and efficient.
What we will cover:
• Vision: Making text bolder and larger for easier reading. • Physical & Motor: Using "AssistiveTouch" to simplify complex screen gestures. • Hearing: Setting up visual light flashes for your incoming alerts. • The "Pro" Shortcut: Learn the "triple-click" trick to instantly toggle your favorite features on and off.
Important Details:
• Bring Your Own Device: Please bring your own iPhone or iPad so you can practice on your own device. • No Experience Needed: We’ll show you how to explore safely, you can’t break your device by trying these out!
Accessibility Notice : We strive to make our events accessible. To request a disability accommodation and/or language services, contact the department listed in the "Contact Info" pane on the right. Please allow at least two weeks to arrange accommodation.
