You can learn essential digital communication and organizing skills by using Gmail. You will discover how to create, send, and respond to emails, attach files, and use labels, filters, and smart folders to automatically arrange your inbox.
Core Email Fundamentals
Mastering Gmail starts with the basics of sending and receiving messages. You'll learn how to:
• Compose and Format: Create emails with specialized text formatting, attach documents or images, and include links.
• Manage Replies: Track email responses in a single, continuous flow by using threaded chats.
• Undo Send: With a short grace period to undo a sent email, you can avoid embarrassing typos or unintentional sends.
• Schedule Send: You can write messages at your own pace and set them up to be sent automatically across time zones or during work hours.
Inbox Organization & Time-Savers
Gmail provides powerful tools to tame a cluttered inbox. You will learn to:
• Use Labels and Filters: Apply customized color-coded labels instead of traditional folders and set up filters to automatically sort incoming mail.
• Snooze Emails: Remove a non-urgent email from your inbox and have it reappear at a later date or time when you are ready to address it.
• Use Smart Compose: Save time typing with predictive AI that suggests sentences as you write.
Google Calendar:
Through effective scheduling, savvy task management, and smooth teamwork, Google Calendar teaches you how to master your time. The primary skills you will learn are:
• Event Scheduling: How to set up and customize events, create recurring meetings, and attach files or video conferencing links (e.g., Google Meet) directly to invites.
• Task Integration: How to add, track, and cross off your to-do list items alongside your scheduled events.
• Customization: How to color-code events, set up automated email notifications, and toggle between daily, weekly, or monthly views to suit your personal workflow.
Google Meet:
You'll discover how to easily initiate or plan video chats, control your audio and video settings, and display your screen or particular browser tabs when you use Google Meet. Additionally, you will learn how to effectively cooperate using interactive features like chat, hand-raising, and real-time captioning.
