Song Cycle
Screening of Nick Kelly’s documentary following his bicycle journey to Glastonbury, a reflective film on music and sustainability
21st July
TKS €8 & €5
In 2022, musician and filmmaker Nick Kelly cycled from his home in Dublin to the Glastonbury Festival in Somerset, England — carrying his guitar, tent and all the other essentials. He was accompanied by his friend and 'Dogs' collaborator Sean Millar, who was following the same route on public transport. The pair stopped to perform in different venues along the route, making their way towards a grand finale at Glastonbury.
Nick's charming documentary about the journey proves a celebration of sustainability in its many forms, while also allowing the filmmaker to thoughtfully reflect on his relationship with his late father.
It's a film that encourages viewers to stay in the saddle and keep pedalling, whatever the weather, traffic or gradient faced.
