A learning circle is a study group, guided by library staff, for people who want to take a free online course together in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Organizations all over the world recognize the value of analytics. Together, we'll learn about the essential tools used in this field.

In this 12-week learning circle, we will work through the Data Analytics Essentials course from Cisco Networking Academy. We will explore the fundamental tools of a data analyst, including how to:

• transform, organize and visualize data with spreadsheet tools like Excel • query data from a relational database using SQL • improve data presentations using business intelligence tools like Tableau

We will meet weekly, in-person, every Tuesday afternoon, September 15 - December 8, 2-3:30 PM (12 sessions).

Participants are expected to commit to the duration of the course and attend sessions on a weekly basis.

Learners who complete the course will be able to:
