Art & Connect is a casual get-together where you do your own thing with art — and art is a loose term here. Collage, knitting, colouring, sketching — whatever you've been meaning to sit down with. You don't need to be an artist. You just need to want to make something.

What makes these gatherings different is the format: there's no agenda and no pressure to socialise on cue. You can focus on your project, drift into a conversation when something catches your interest, then quietly return to what you're doing. It's a genuinely easy way to be around people.

This round we're joined by Hooi See @quirkybirdiepainter, the artist behind those quirky watercolour birdies, who'll open the morning with a small activity to get us started. This time, refreshments are included. In the past, our Art & Connect gatherings have been held at cafés where everyone bought their own drinks. This time, we're covering it — so just bring yourself and your project.
