3D Printing One-on-One Guided Support
One-hour one-on-one supervised 3D printing session (PLA, Creality K1C) at Almaden Library — by appointment
Need help with 3D printing or looking for guided, hands-on experience? This personalized one-hour session at the Almaden Branch offers step-by-step support from a trained volunteer to assist you with 3D printing.
This session is ideal for beginners seeking practical experience, guided support, and confidence in using 3D printing technology. It is also a good opportunity for those who attended our 3D Printing workshop and now want to try their hands at it. Participants will have the opportunity to print a simple model under supervision. If you do not have a design, you may choose one from Thingiverse. Personal designs must be in .stl format and will be printed using PLA filament.
All designs must be compatible with the Creality K1C printer and have a print time of under 45 minutes. Final approval of printability will be determined by the program lead.
BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
One appointment per quarter per person. For questions, please call (408) 808-3040 or send an email to [email protected]
This program is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Almaden Library and the SJPL Foundation’s Pat Dando Endowment.
