The Exchange Project
Intimate rock night at Songbyrd featuring The Exchange Project with support from R-NØT and Please Knock
Thursday August 20th
The Exchange Project w/ R-NOT, Please Knock
The Exchange Project is a Washington, DC based rock band. With members hailing from Caracas, Venezuela, La Serena, Chile, Fort Worth, TX and Cleveland, OH, The Exchange Project combines high-energy fuzz drenched guitar, intricate bass lines, apocalyptic drums and vocals that go from soulful baritone to full-out rock and roll snarl in less than a blink of your bloodshot eye. TXP will continue releasing original music in between studio sessions and playing the local DC music scene.
From the suburban reaches of Washington DC, R-NØT is a high-energy punk-inspired rock trio. Prolific punk singer/songwriter Paul Makarov teams up Chuck Bowley (bass guitar) and Mike Packard (drums) to unleash a barrage of punky, chunky, yet highly melodic tunes that conjure up your inner angsty teenager. With a vibe reminiscent of a bygone era, their short, sweet, raw and powerful songs simply get stuck in your head.
Drawing on everything from grunge to heavy metal, Northern Virginia alt-rock outfit Please Knock formed as longtime friends Zach Piner (vocals/guitar) and Chris 'CPZ' Peele (drums) reunited after a college degree and brief stint in the military. Along with 2024 additions Mark Conigliaro (bass) and Christian Sheets (guitar), they bring heavy, soulful music boasting equal parts melody and aggression.
