Met Boom Girl, Elisabetta Imelio, Gian Maria Accusani, Hardcore Tamburo, La Tempesta Dischi, Mr. Man, Sick Tamburo, Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti
Live concert by Italian indie/rock duo Sick Tamburo at Berlin club Neue Zukunft
Sick Tamburo was born from an idea by Elisabetta Imelio and Gian Maria Accusani, previously associated with Prozac+. Elisabetta and Gian Maria chose the name Sick Tamburo, originally conceived for Gian Maria's noise percussion project, now known as Hardcore Tamburo.
Sick Tamburo began by posting a few songs on MySpace (In fumota, Finché tu sei qua, Topoallucinazione, and Quel paese) and the video for "Tocca 24/7" on YouTube, in which they appear wearing white masks to hide their faces. They decided to use nicknames: Gian Maria chose Mr. Man, while Elisabetta opted for Boom Girl. However, they were recognized and abandoned the masks, choosing balaclavas instead for aesthetic reasons. They immediately signed up to La Tempesta Dischi, a collective of independent artists led by Tre allegri ragazzi morti, also from Pordenone.
