This interactive, workshop-style session introduces participants to research as an accessible, community-centered tool for storytelling, advocacy, and decision-making. Designed to demystify traditional research processes, the program will break down key concepts such as data collection, interpretation, and ethical storytelling in ways that are approachable and relevant to everyday life and work.
The session will include a mix of presentation, guided discussion, and hands-on exercises where participants will begin to identify questions they care about, explore ways to gather meaningful information, and translate insights into compelling narratives.
Emphasis will be placed on how research can be used to influence funding, policy, and community impact—particularly for those who have historically been excluded from formal research spaces.
