Open Studio: Combine Design
Drop-in mixed-media Open Studio inspired by Rauschenberg and other modern artists, Fridays and Saturdays 14:00â18:00
Get inspired by the Hirshhorn classics every Friday and Saturday in July at Open Studio! Each week we take inspiration from groundbreaking artists of our time, such as Alexander Calder, Olafur Eliasson, Juan Muñoz, and more. Join us this Friday as we draw inspiration from Robert Rauschenbergâs Fossil for Bob Morris (1965), which was displayed in the museumâs inaugural 1974 exhibition.
First weâll explore Rauschenbergâs artistic practice. Then weâll experiment with materials like photos, fabric scraps, and paint sticks to make mixed-media collages of our own. Meet in Art School on the museumâs Lower Level.
