Set in Cyprus in 1882, this impressive folk horror from Minos Papas features a stunning central performance by Margarita Zachariou as a mother whose grief is weaponised against her. After the accidental death of her children, painter Eleni is shunned by her fellow villagers for bringing a curse upon them. Inconsolable and isolated, Eleni tries to resurrect her children through an image-making ritual, only to unwittingly unleash furious otherworldly forces.
