Mr. Wilbur Wright of Dayton, Ohio, will present results from experiments concerning the development of a practical, piloted flying machine. The experiments were conducted between 1899 and 1905 at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, and Dayton, Ohio, with his brother, Orville Wright. He will explain and demonstrate many of the technical aspects of their invention by using models and actual photographs of the experiments. The unique flight control system will be discussed in some detail, along with the propulsion system and supporting wind tunnel experiments.
Wilbur Wright will be presented by Tom Benson, a retired aeronautical engineer from the NASA Glenn Research Center.
