Life Support
Screening of Life Support, a documentary following medics in Gaza, followed by a discussion with Bethan Sayed and Amjad Salhab
Since October 2023, Gaza has been sealed from the world β except for one group, international doctors. While global media are barred from reporting and governments look away, doctors breach the blockade and attend to the humanitarian crisis. Covering the first two years of the genocide, three medics lay bare the daily reality captured by local camera operators. Their first-hand accounts and visceral footage offer a rare and vital chronicle of the struggles of healthcare workers as they navigate bombed-out hospitals, dwindling supplies, starvation and the overwhelming influx of casualties. An unflinching record of a society being dismantled and an urgent call to attend to its human consequences.
Join us on 31 July for a discussion with Bethan Sayed and Amjad Salhab, a Welsh Palestinian pharmacist and healthcare professional.
