Johnny Dynamite and Catherine Moan

Johnny Dynamite is a Philadelphia based post-punk artist signed to Born Losers Records. Over the course of his first three albums, Johnny Dynamite has emerged as a succinct storyteller and songwriter. The characters inside Johnny’s dream world are lucid, manic, and brimming with pangs of nostalgia. Poised against dark and atmospheric instrumentals, his harrowed vocal delivery and lyrics paint a picture of lost youth, hopeless romanticism, and teenage rebellion.

Dynamite blends many different genres and connects the dots between different pockets of subculture; equal parts glossy new wave and anthemic rock n’ roll. Johnny’s signature beat centric production style incorporates hard hitting drum machines, 80s style guitar riffs and ethereal retro synth patches. His sound has been compared to legacy acts such as Pet Shop Boys, INXS, and The Cure as well as more modern acts such as MGMT and M83.

Catherine Moan is the time-bending electronic synth pop project from Los Angeles based artist Angel Jefferson. Her work, often produced in isolation, is melancholic yet optimistic electro-pop about being queer in America. Catherine Moan projects a unique blend of 80s new wave, 00s synth pop, and contemporary electronic dance music. And with witty, intimate lyrics, she sets a dark but cheeky tone. In 2021 she released her debut album Chain Reaction and has since released a handful of singles. With her sophomore album on the way, she is now touring and playing shows.
