
Cabaret Heels
One-hour Cabaret Heels class for adults 18+ to build performance technique and confidence with block heels
Cabaret is a style of entertainment that often includes a collection of short performances of music, theatre, and dance put together over the course of a performance. This class boosts self-confidence and empowers your inner showgirl; you’ll leave feeling like Christina Aguilera.
What should I wear? Comfortable clothing and heels suitable for indoor use; must be a block heel.
Who is it for? Adults 18+ of all ages and abilities, ready to bring some sass to the studio.
What should I bring? Bottle of water.
Please be aware this class is currently rehearsing for 'Sunset', happening on Sunday 3rd May at Dance City. Participants who are not performing in the show are still welcome to attend classes in the lead up to the show.
Teacher: Jess Doran.
About the teacher: Jessie Doran is a dance artist based in the North East, working as a facilitator, performer, and choreographer. After graduating in 2018 with a degree in Professional Dance Practice and earning a Master's in Performance Dance in 2022, Jessie has worked with Hit The Ground Running Dance Theatre, Northern Dance, North East Dance, The Duke De Milo ShowDolls and Dance City. She has choreographed and taught public classes and children's classes, delivered workshops and outreach at regional festivals, and developed Dare2Dance offering Commercial and Heels choreography classes with performance opportunities planned for 2025.
