Beginner's Guide to Making Comics

Have you ever wanted to create your own comic, manga, or anime-inspired story? In this interactive workshop, teens will learn the basics of comic creation through hands-on activities, creative storytelling, and guided drawing exercises.

Participants will explore comic and manga techniques including panels, page layouts, speech bubbles, sound effects, character design, and visual storytelling. They’ll also learn how to build engaging characters and create their own one-page comic or manga scene.

Led by a published comic writer, this workshop includes live demonstrations, creative prompts, and opportunities to ask questions about comics, manga, anime storytelling, and the creative industry. Perfect for aspiring artists, writers, anime/manga fans, and anyone curious about creating their own stories in a fun, supportive environment.
