AIGEL is an electronic duo formed by Tatar poet and singer Aigel Gaisina and producer Ilya Baramiya, widely regarded as one of the most distinctive independent musical acts to emerge from Eastern Europe. AIGEL’s sound blends dark bass-driven electronics, shamanic rave energy, industrial textures, ethnic motifs, and emotionally charged vocals with powerful storytelling in Tatar, Russian, English, and German.
The group gained international recognition through the viral tracks Tatarin and Pyyala. In 2024, “Pyyala” topped streaming charts in 25 countries and reached No.1 on the global Shazam chart. The band’s music videos have received international awards, including the Berlin Music Video Awards and Cannes Lions.
Since 2022, AIGEL has been banned in Russia following the group’s anti-war statements and is now based in Berlin. From August to October 2026, AIGEL will embark on a European tour featuring a new live program, including fresh releases alongside the band’s biggest hits.
