Lunar Eclipse

A long-married couple watches a lunar eclipse from their Kentucky farm as an evening of stargazing opens into a conversation about family, memory and the passage of time. Presented as part of Actors’ Playhouse’s Mainstage season at the Miracle Theatre in Coral Gables, Lunar Eclipse runs Wednesday through Sunday from May 12 through June 6. Written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Donald Margulies, the play unfolds across the seven stages of an eclipse as the couple reflects on their land, children, regrets, love and loss. The intimate two-person story examines what can remain unknown between people even after a lifetime together. Thursday performances include a pre-show happy hour at the Bacardi Bar, while the Friday, May 21 performance is followed by a Q&A with the cast and director. The Sunday, June 6 matinee offers audio description for audience members who are blind or have low vision.
