let go of how you thought a river could sound. folding the corners nightlife and jazz and custom for a free summers-end tashlich procession and show in three parts. come on down! the water has lots to say and we've got translators. michelle will facilitate us moving between the two locations. as the sun sets @chappymilkshake & @eva.myra.may shape & bend to the current. splish splashin across genres with the amplified river as a bridge between them, you, and undisclosed delights that only curiosity can reveal. the custodians of touch and release ~~ Eva Myra May intersex artist, producer, and designer based in Los Angeles. her sets are multi-format from vinyl to improvised live hardware, while each performance a cohesive attempt at channeling raw emotional reflections of identity, vice, and virtue through the transformative energy of dance floors and community third spaces.
Jake Chapman (aka Chappy Milkshake) is an internationally renowned vibraphonist from Los Angeles, combining virtuosic mallet percussion performance with his unique blend of musical influences. Michelle Shofet is an artist, designer and co-founder of @nocturnalmedicine – an art and design studio that creates experiences, spaces & media for working through the social & emotional challenges of radical environmental change. Her research interests include themes of abject landscapes, cultural memory and identity politics.
