Swallowed Open Decks

Swallowed is back from a month off with an expanded edition on Honey’s roof for a second time this summer, with some extra slots downstairs starting around 9:20pm!

We have the wonderful @bossyboots, host of @shetheydj, joining us as a cohost for the evening. @she.they.dj has platformed over 300 DJs since 2021 with their beginner friendly FLINTA happy hours and party series.

We’re also excited to invite @culturalsolidarity, a hub for cultural resistance & mutual aid, reclaiming raving as a political act. They’ll be sharing some resources, ways to get involved, and an activity to share more about how you’d like to see nightlife evolve to become more inclusive and supportive, especially for femme, trans & nonbinary DJs. Last but not least, we’ll have a stack of @qncc.bk harm reduction zines available to pick up while supplies last!

Since this is our last rooftop event of the summer we’re shortening all sets to 20 minutes to help get more people on the decks. We’ll go back to our normal format next time! We’ve also got some turntables available downstairs, so feel free to bring your records!

HOW IT WORKS Sign up with DJ girlcrush or bossy boots upon arrival

ROOFTOP 6pm - 7pm: 20 min sets, first come, first serve 7pm - 12pm: raffle, 20 min slots, 2x tickets for FLINTA* DJs

WINERY 9:40 - 12pm: raffle, 20 min slots, 2x tickets for FLINTA* DJs, vinyl available! raffle is generally drawn at the top of every hour for the next hour (ex. At 7pm for 8:00, 8:20 & 8:40)

FLINTA* stands for “Female, Lesbian, Intersex, Nonbinary, Trans, Agender, and * for other gender nonconforming people.” You can tell me to sign you up for 2x tickets if this term describes you!
