Sunken Ship Mapping mystery
Hands-on archaeology workshop where kids map an indoor sunken shipwreck and solve its mystery
Students will work together to map out an indoor version of a sunken shipwreck off the coast of Maryland and Virginia while solving the mystery of what happened to the ship. 2:00–2:30 will be a short introduction to archaeology for students who have not participated in Young Archaeologists' Club before. If students have attended previous programs, they can arrive at 2:30.
Young Archaeologists' Club is a free, hands-on educational opportunity instructed by professional archaeologists and educators. Activities are designed for ages 8–14. Younger students may attend when accompanied by an adult. Registration for all participants is required. Archaeology in the Community is a DC nonprofit dedicated to connecting all learners to heritage and archaeological science. For any questions, please contact [email protected].
