Summer Reading Fest - Making Library Magic with Jay Flair
Hands-on 60-minute magic workshop for 9–12 year olds with performer and teacher Jay Flair
Did you ever want to show off a magic trick to your friends and family? Did you ever have a dream of becoming a magician? Then this workshop is for you!
Be amazed by some magic and learn some tricks of your own too. Attendees will get to see a variety of beginner magic tricks and learn ways to perform them! The workshop will encourage students to use fine motor skills, grow creativity, and to build confidence and patience through learning different basic magic routines.
Jay Flair is an award-winning magician who began her journey as a magician at the age of 12, secretly studying at home and has since performed in many different settings. Jay has taught for EPL, Grindstone Theatre school, and Jube School. This 60-minute session is geared to 9-12 year olds, but Jay will do her best to accommodate younger customers with their parents' help.
This program has a capacity of 30 participants.
