Chicago 250 · Film Screenings · Adults: 18 and up · Teens: 13 to 19 years · Summer at CPL
Join us for a screening for summer blockbuster month! Since Christopher Nolan’s new film, The Odyssey, comes out this summer, let’s go back in time to revisit his highly acclaimed World War II thriller about the evacuation of Allied troops from the French city of Dunkirk before Nazi forces can take hold. Featuring Kenneth Branagh, Tom Hardy, and an ensemble of memorable actors, this is Nolan’s take on Saving Private Ryan - one battle in real time by land, by air, and by sea! Dunkirk opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces. Trapped on the beach with their backs to the sea they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in.
