Science Connect: DNA Workshop
Hands-on DNA workshop for kids 8–12: build a take-home double helix and explore what makes us unique
Join us for a fun hands-on science adventure run by some Teen Ambassadors!
During this interactive workshop, students will learn about DNA and its role in our physical traits and variation! Students will have the opportunity to find the complementary strand given a template of genetic code, as well as create a take-home double helix model of a DNA strand. Throughout the workshop, students will investigate the big question of which genes make them unique!
This workshop will be led by experienced high school facilitators who are passionate about making science fun for all!
For kids 8-12 years old.
Monday, July 27 @ 3:00-4:00pm in the Kids' Place Program Room. Registration required.
