Enjoy free jazz-ish concerts throughout July and August on the roof of the Central Library, one of Vancouver's most beautiful public spaces! Our Summer concert series Rooftop Rhythms has something for everyone !
Mivule is an 8-piece Afro Reggae band based out of Vancouver, BC, Canada. Their music is centred around roots reggae and Afrobeat, but the band is also expanding their sound to include more genres such as jazz and funk.
Lead singer Brian Baroda draws on his experiences as a South Sudanese refugee to infuse the music with hopeful messages in English and East African languages. Themes of peace, justice, and love are common in the song lyrics. Mivule released their first album in September 2024.
