Intimate solo concert by acclaimed American acoustic guitarist Leo Kottke performing his signature fingerstyle repertoire.
Acoustic guitarist Leo Kottke was born in Athens, Georgia, and raised across a dozen states. He began on violin and trombone before switching to guitar at 11, drawing on influences from Mississippi John Hurt to John Philip Sousa.
Kottke released his debut LP Twelve String Blues in 1968 and later his major-label debut Mudlark (1971). Albums such as Greenhouse (1972) and My Feet Are Smiling (1973) show his development and refined guitar technique. In 2002 he collaborated with Phish bassist Mike Gordon on Clone and later recorded Sixty Six Steps, produced by David Z.
