Citizens Bank Protest
A public street protest outside Citizens Bank demanding the bank end financing of for‑profit ICE detention contractors
Join us outside Citizens Bank — providing flyers and information to banking customers — to protest Citizens Bank's financial support for ICE prisons. Citizens Bank provides funding to two notorious for‑profit prison companies, CoreCivic and The GEO Group, that imprison the majority of people ICE detains. These two companies have documented human rights abuses, including inadequate food and medical care and forced labor.
Most other major banks in the country have cut financial ties to these companies, but Citizens continues to provide access to capital so they can expand their operations. We are asking Citizens Bank to stop providing funding to these for‑profit prison companies.
