Beginner-friendly hands-on workshop introducing practical AI tools to support people with vision loss

Curious about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and what it means for everyday life?

AI can help those experiencing loss of vision to experience enhanced independence with everyday life and tasks such as reading text, awareness of objects and surroundings, remembering things, and writing messages. It is also being used in many positive ways around the world — supporting healthcare, education, transportation, and creative work.

This workshop series offers a friendly, hands-on introduction to AI for members of the Chicago Public Library Assistive Resources and Talking Book Center (ARTBC). Members will discover practical ways AI can support daily life and feel more comfortable talking about AI with friends and family while learning from their peers in a relaxed, supportive, and beginner-friendly environment.

Registration is required, and participants must be members of the Chicago Public Library Assistive Resources and Talking Book Center. For more information and to register, please call 800-757-4654.
