Technology Basics
A 5-part free series learning computer, internet, email and online-safety basics at the Eloise May Library.
Learn the basics of using a computer, the internet, and email and how to remain safe online in 5 easy classes! Each class will be taught in English. Please be aware some classes might go a little over-time .
Please make sure you register for each class listed below that you are interested in. Registering for one class will not automatically register you for the other classes.
• October 14: Computer Basics: Part 1 • Learn the basics on how to use the keyboard and mouse and navigate the computer desktop.
• October 21: Computer Basics: Part 2 • Learn how to create and manage files and folders and maintain your computer.
• October 28: Internet Basics • Learn how to use Google and how to navigate around websites.
• November 4: Email Basics • Learn how to set up and use a Gmail email account.
• November 18: Online Safety Basics • Learn how to be safer online with accounts/passwords and an overview of frauds/scams. • There will be no class on November 11 due to a Veteran's Day Library Closure
