Paintings by Nicholas Roes exploring gesture, texture and the physical trace of the artist's hand, on view free daily.
Exhibition Title: Remain Present Dates of Exhibition: September 25, 2026 – October 31, 2026 Remain Present is a collection of original work by American artist Nicholas Roes that considers the traces of gesture as evidence of the artist's presence. Each work carries traces of its making through movement, texture and the accumulation of material.
At a moment when images can be generated, reproduced and circulated with increasing ease, Remain Present returns attention to emphasize painting as a physical encounter between artist and material.
