Rust Milano: Real-time planning in Rust: SolverForge & SERIO
Talk and demo of SolverForge by Vittorio Distefano on real-time planning in Rust, followed by Q&A and networking at TrueLayer Milan
Rust Language Milan Ciao Milanese Ferrists!
After our kick-off, it’s time to dive into high-performance optimization and AI. Special thanks to the team at TrueLayer for hosting us in their space and supporting the local Rust ecosystem.
The Talk: End-to-end Planning with SolverForge
Speaker: Vittorio Distefano (Founder @ SolverForge.ai)
Vittorio will showcase SolverForge, an AI optimization framework capable of millions of moves per second. We’ll explore the SERIO architecture (Scoring Engine for Real-time Incremental Optimization) and how to leverage Rust’s static dispatch and zero-cost abstractions to solve complex routing and scheduling problems.
What you’ll learn: Modeling real-world planning problems in pure Rust. Using type-driven APIs for constraints and objectives. Moving away from "black-box" solvers to transparent, scalable pipelines.
