He started producing music by the end of the 90's/early 2000 and producing his visual work around 2010. In 2011, he started his experimental project "ssaliva". In 2020, he released the single "Undergone" with Bladee, which was accompanied by a Joe Ward–directed music video. He has also collaborated on multiple music projects with Yung Lean, including the 2021 single "Chandelier" and "Visions (Outro)," the final track on Yung Lean's 2022 mixtape Stardust.

Along with other collaborations with artists like Organ Tapes, Palmistry, and SKY H1, he has brought his signature melancholia to venues such as Berghain, OHM, and De School alongside Amnesia Scanner, DJ Stingray, Grouper, and many others. We look forward to ssaliva bringing a live set to the Vespers basement; in the words of Slag-Werk, an "instantly recognizable form of melancholia, sometimes ghostly, sometimes sacred."
