Cinema Rediscovered: Ehsan Khoshbakht in conversation with Mark Cosgrove
Ehsan Khoshbakht opens Cinema Rediscovered in conversation with Mark Cosgrove at Watershed, reflecting on repertory film exhibition.
With Il Cinema Ritrovato about to kick off in Bologna, we are delighted to announce its Co-director Ehsan Khoshbakht, also an author, filmmaker and one of the world’s leading repertory curators, will open the 10th edition of Cinema Rediscovered here in Bristol in conversation with our founder Mark Cosgrove, hosted by film historian Pamela Hutchinson.
Taking inspiration from the pioneering Il Cinema Ritrovato festival in Bologna, Italy, we launched Cinema Rediscovered in July 2016 with a Bristol twist.
As both festivals celebrate big birthdays this year (Il Cinema Ritrovato turns forty), it's the perfect opportunity to reflect on how our respective festivals and the wider repertory film exhibition scene have evolved over the past decade.
Join us at Watershed on Wed 22 July 19:00 - tickets via the link in bio. Pick up a pass or take advantage of the multi-ticket offer and curate your own festival from Wed 22 to Sun 26 July.
The 10th edition of Cinema Rediscovered is presented in association with Bristol-based independent brewery Wiper and True and made possible thanks to the support of the BFI Audience Projects Fund, awarding National Lottery funding, and principal sponsors Park Circus and STUDIOCANAL.
