Black Convocation

We are excited to share that Black Convocation is taking place at UC Riverside on October 22, 2026! Black Convocation is a fall gathering and community building event to celebrate Black scholarship and community at UCR. This event hopes to connect new students with current students, helpful administrators, and other relevant resources on our UCR campus and within the larger community.

The UCR Black Thriving Initiative (BTI) has been planning the event in partnership with African Student Programs (ASP), the Black Faculty and Staff Association (BFASA), and the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. The entire UCR community – including all students, faculty, staff, and affiliate community groups – is invited to join us.

By gathering each Fall to celebrate Black scholarship and community, we strive to contribute to the belonging, connectedness and success of our students, faculty, staff and community members. Please RSVP by October 2nd! RSVP Link: https://forms.gle/um4BE5Vk2vKrhUsV6
