A Marriage Made in Mega-Heaven. What happens when a wedding party sets out across a national border, up towards an Alpine summit, and finally to a small church high in the mountains? JOYN – A Marriage Made in Mega-Heaven is an extraordinary narrative poem by Dana Rufolo, bringing together language, rhythm, sound and theatre.

Through vivid imagery, alliteration, assonance and rich sound patterns, JOYN tells the story of an adventurous journey to a wedding — a journey about encounter, community, love and the crossing of boundaries. First performed in 2022 at Theater Konstanz, JOYN now comes to the VALENTINY Foundation in a special version as a dramatic reading with soundscape.

The architecture of the Foundation becomes part of the atmosphere itself, offering a striking and unusual setting for this poetic journey. The Actor-Readers are Luc Lamesch, Timothy Lone, Andrea Murphy and Dana Rufolo. The soundscape is created by the Sound Singers Julien Ardouin, Nefeli Kalogeropoulou, Antje Stierle, Will Stock and Virginia Tang.
