**The Birthday Massacre Bio**

The Birthday Massacre are a six-piece from Toronto who have

spent 25 years building one of the most distinctive sounds in dark

alternative music — synth-driven and guitar-heavy, melodic and

dissonant, equal parts nostalgia and dread. Their music lives in

the space between a pop hook and a knife's edge, drawing on the

textures of '80s Synthwave and New Wave, the weight of

Industrial and Dark Wave, and a visual sensibility shaped by

horror/fantasy cinema and fine art.
