Ukulele Songs Workshop

Learn ukulele basics and tips for using this instrument to share songs with a group of young children.

This early language and literacy workshop provides free professional development for early childhood educators (ECE), childcare providers, and adults currently working with young children in the community. The workshop is available to those living and/or working in Vancouver. Certificates will be issued by email following completion of the workshop.

Please note:

• The content of this workshop will be the same as the workshop delivered on April 24, 2025.

• Priority for registration will be given to those who did not attend the April workshop. Applicants who attended the previous event will be waitlisted and will be contacted if a spot is available.

Priority for registration will be given to early childhood educators (ECE), childcare providers and adults currently working with children living and/or working in Vancouver. If you do not live/work in Vancouver, your name will be added to a waitlist and you will be notified if space is available .​

• Takes place in a programming room

• Programming room is down 16 stairs. A staff-assisted elevator is available for patrons who require it.

• Participants are welcome to move, stim, or take breaks as needed.

• Participants can sit on the floor, in chairs or stand at any time

• Sensory Kit with fidget toys, ear defenders, and sunglasses is available.
