The Goats

The Goats is a challenge that focuses on the central region of Portugal, an area that includes part of the highlands. The route circles the entire Serra da Estrela Natural Park and almost never loses sight of it. You will often see the highlight of your adventure, the Alto da Torre da Serra da Estrela, the highest point in mainland Portugal (1997 m).

In the Serra da Estrela rise two rivers that will be closely linked to us: the Mondego, which rises on the northern slope, and the Zêzere, which rises on the southern slope. The route is mostly on dirt roads, through historic villages and places where time does not seem to have passed, preserved in their natural beauty, with people, traditions, tastes and experiences you will never forget.
