Summer Tech Series

This 8-week course is for beginners aiming to establish a starting set of skills. Students should be comfortable with mouse, keyboard, and basic computer navigation to fully benefit. The course includes cybersecurity information.

Google Gmail: Learn essential digital communication and organising skills: create send and respond to emails, attach files, and use labels filters and smart features to arrange your inbox. Topics include composing and formatting messages, managing replies with threaded conversations, undo send, schedule send, and inbox organisation using labels filters snooze and Smart Compose.

Google Calendar: Master event scheduling including recurring meetings attaching files and video conference links, task integration alongside events, and customization such as color coding automated notifications and different calendar views.

Google Meet: Learn to initiate or schedule video chats, control audio and video, share your screen or a browser tab, and use interactive features like chat hand raising and real time captioning.
