
Summer Learning Program: Organizing Family Reunions
Tamara Bell presents practical strategies for planning meaningful in-person and virtual family reunions
The 49th annual Burton Family Reunion was held in Ft. Lauderdale on July 25th through 27th, 2025. Held annually since 1976, the location rotates each year to cities and states to gather multiple generations of family.
Ms. Tamara Bell, a member of the national Afro American Genealogy and Historical Society (AAHGS) and the Genealogical Society of Broward County (GSBC), has organized both virtual and in-person reunions and will share practical strategies for planning meaningful and well-organized family gatherings.
Tamara Bell is a certified Human Resources professional with a master's degree from Nova Southeastern University and has formal genealogy training through the Genealogy Society of Broward County. She is an active former board member of GSBC and a member of AAHGS. Tam has applied research best practices helping individuals begin and organize their family history and is the author of "Making Memories Together," published in Reunions Magazine 2025.
