
Speech and Debate Summer Series
Five-day summer workshop teaching middle schoolers public speaking and debate fundamentals with Prospect High club mentors
Learn the fundamentals of speech and debate from members of Prospect High's Speech and Debate Club and gain valuable communication skills!
Participants ages 11–14 will learn how to master public speaking, discover different debate styles, learn how to problem-solve, and how to think on their feet. Participants are expected to attend all sessions and may be divided into two groups to have debates on Friday. Recommended for middle school students (ages 11–14).
Free. Please register online with your child's name so we can check for registration and attendance. By registering, your child(ren) are expected to join for all sessions to build upon their skills and knowledge each day. Priority will be given to registrants followed by anyone on the online waitlist, then walk-ins. If any registrants do not attend by 4:05pm on the first day of the series, their spot may be given to someone else.
