Saturday Sessions: Kalopsia

Kalopsia is an alt-folk band, typically performing as a 2 or 3-piece ensemble featuring a female vocalist/guitarist, an electric violinist and for certain venues the addition of a drummer.

The band creates folk originals, sung with a captivating voice and accompanied by emotive arrangements. They occasionally incorporate poems and sonnets by poets such as Shakespeare, Byron and Shelley. Their performances evoke a fragile, atmospheric and timeless emotional experience. On occasion, they also offer a carefully considered cover transformed and crafted it in their own distinctive style.

Their music is infused with elegance, charm and soothing moments of calm contrasted by dynamic bursts of emotion that paint vivid and resonant visions.
