Rooted Workshop: Kokedama

Click here for Rooted Workshop: Kokedama on August 22 Learn about the art of kokedama, the centuries-old Japanese style of growing plants in a moss-covered soil ball. Led by Descanso gardener Jenny Flores, you will learn about the history of this growing method, see spectacular examples, and create your own kokedama-style plant to take home. All materials are provided. $50 for members, $65 for non members. Spaces are limited. Registration opens to members on July 8 at 10am and to non-members on July 10 at 10am. Meets in the Harvest Garden. About Jenny Flores Jenny Flores is a plant enthusiast and Descanso Gardener. She majored in Ornamental Horticulture and has certificates in Landscape Design and Horticulture Science. Jenny primarily works in the Japanese Garden. You can see her work in the gravel designs in the rock garden.
