
Opioid Overdose Prevention Training
One-hour community training on recognizing opioid overdose and administering naloxone with free doses while supplies last
Santa Clara County Library District, in partnership with Santa Clara County Public Health, offers training for community members on how to recognize an opioid overdose and how to safely administer the nasal spray Naloxone (Narcan).
The one-hour training will include:
• Introduction to Harm Reduction • What is Naloxone? • Signs of an Overdose • Administering Naloxone • Fentanyl Overview • Resources from the Public Health Department Sexual Health and Harm Reduction Program
Participants who complete this one-hour training will be given a free limited number of Naloxone doses (while supplies last).
Registration is required. For accessibility accommodations (e.g. ASL), please fill out the online form at sccld.org/accessibility at least 7 days prior to the event.
