Journée scientifique « Du photon unique aux variables continues : 40 ans d’optique quantique »
Journée de conférences et sessions scientifiques en hommage à Philippe Grangier sur les avancées en optique quantique
Quantum-Saclay and Institut d’Optique are pleased to invite you to a day dedicated to a leading figure in quantum optics: “From Single Photons to Continuous Variables: 40 Years of Advances in Quantum Optics” 📅 June 4, 2026 | 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM 📍 Institut d’Optique – 2 avenue Augustin Fresnel, 91120 Palaiseau
After a career of more than forty years that has profoundly shaped quantum optics and technologies, Philippe Grangier, Emeritus Research Director at the CNRS since July 2025, will be honored with a scientific event highlighting his career and major contributions.
On the program: • Introductory lectures and perspectives on his career • Scientific sessions on quantum optics, QND measurements, and quantum communications • Presentations by leading researchers, including Alain Aspect • An exploration of the connections between AI and scientific practices
