New Dawn

Deze zomer verwelkomt NDSM een nieuw kunstwerk: New Dawn van @Howareyoufeeling.studio, het kunstenaarskoppel @doyeljoshi & @neilghosebalser. ❤️

De installatie bestaat uit een cirkel van 108 rode monobloc stoelen die bezoekers uitnodigt om plaats te nemen, te pauzeren en ruimte te maken voor aandacht, ontmoeting en reflectie.

Binnen de Indiase context staat het getal 108 symbool voor volledigheid en verbondenheid. Gedurende de zomer verplaatst de cirkel van stoelen zich dagelijks over het terrein en vormt zo een steeds veranderende choreografie.

Het werk verkent thema’s als verandering, continuïteit en nieuwe perspectieven.

Op 9 juli vieren we de feestelijke opening van New Dawn van 17:30-19:30 op @NDSM. Iedereen is welkom! 🤩

This summer, NDSM welcomes a new artwork: New Dawn by @Howareyoufeeling.studio, the artist duo @doyeljoshi & @neilghosebalser. ❤️

The installation consists of a circle of 108 red monobloc chairs, inviting visitors to take a seat, pause and make space for attention, encounter and reflection.

Within the Indian context, the number 108 symbolises wholeness and connectedness. Throughout the summer, the circle of chairs will move across the site each day, creating an ever-changing choreography within the public space. The work explores themes of change, continuity and new perspectives.

On 9 July we celebrate the opening of New Dawn from 17:30 - 19:30 at NDSM. Everyone is welcome! 🤩
