Nature Journaling Workshop|Summer Reading 2026
Crafts, Maker, & DIY · Home & Garden · Adults · Older Adults · Summer Reading & Learning
Join Melinda Nakagawa for a guided nature journaling workshop that invites you to slow down, get creative, and reconnect with nature! Beginning indoors, she will lead participants in gentle warm-up activities and introduce the basics of nature journaling, then guide participants outdoors for self-paced journaling and exploration. If it rains, we’ll remain indoors with nature elements to explore.
Through her nurturing approach, Melinda helps participants engage deeply with the natural world and sketch and write with ease. Her workshops are gentle, hands-on experiences that blend observation, sketching, writing, and sensory awareness, helping participants slow down, open their senses, and rediscover a sense of wonder!
All supplies will be provided. This event will be first come, first served, and space is limited to 30. Due to the popularity of this program, we are limiting attendance to one session per person across all library locations.
