Mudam turns 20!

Mudam opens its doors with free entry from 1 to 5 July 2026. Join a festive week of encounters, performances, music and family activities across the museum. Highlights include late openings, a live music night on Friday, Kids Day on Saturday and Open Day on Sunday.

With the Young Reporters project, secondary school students and journalist Anne Schaaf explore 20 years of the museum’s history through interviews with visitors, neighbours, friends and colleagues who experienced Mudam’s evolution over the two decades. A special anniversary selection and the new Mudam Guide (featuring 100 key collection works from the 1990s to today) will be available at the Mudam Store. Join the activities on site. Wednesday, 01.07.2026 — Free entrance | 10:00–21:00 From curatorial insights and thematic exhibition tours to a quiz evening hosted by CELL, this Wednesday evening programme offers multiple ways to engage with current exhibitions and ideas in a relaxed, open atmosphere.

18:00 – 19:00 | EN Curator Tour: Simon Fujiwara with Léon Kruijswijk Join us for a curatorial tour led by Léon Kruijswijk, offering insight into the ideas, processes and narratives behind the exhibition of Simon Fujiwara.

18:30 – 20:30 Wednesday Night Fever Quiz with CELL Join us for an evening hosted by CELL (Citizens for Ecological Learning & Living), featuring a lively mix of culture and ecology in a relaxed, social atmosphere.

18:30 – 19:15 | EN Guided Tour – Architects of the Future The tour offers insight into how SUPERFLEX engages with ideas of infrastructure, futures and collective systems, while connecting to the museum’s iconic building.

18:30 – 19:15 | EN Exhibition tour Join us for a regular guided tour of the exhibitions, offering an overview of the key works, themes and artistic approaches on view.

Thursday, 02.07.2026 — Free entrance Roundtables is a programme created by Mudam Luxembourg and Casino – Forum d'art contemporain, designed to be a friendly space for discussing contemporary art. Our shared objective is to demystify contemporary art, encourage dialogue and foster an environment conducive to genuine interaction.

18:30–20:00 | EN/FR The fluidity of the collective (at Casino Luxembourg – Forum d'art contemporain) Building on the evolving notion of the collective, this session brings together members of artistic collectives in Luxembourg to discuss why artists choose to work collectively and how this mode of practice contributes to new spaces. RSVP required.

Friday, 03.07.2026 – MUDAM PARTY — Free entrance | 10:00–01:00 For this special day-long celebration, Mudam opens its doors to a continuous programme of encounters, music and live events. From midday introductions and artist talks to evening concerts, DJ sets and audiovisual works, the museum becomes a shared space for engaging with art, sound and performance.
