Daytime open-air DJ session at The Ruins with MoBlack and guests blending Afro House and melodic techno
On Friday, September 4th, Gray Area presents MoBlack Records at The Ruins, Knockdown Center. Joining him are Falyn, Cisummi, and Oktave.
Headlining is MoBlack, the Italian DJ, producer, and founder of MoBlack Records, widely recognized for his role in shaping Afro House globally. Backed by support from Black Coffee, &ME, Rampa, Solomun, and Pete Tong, and with performances at Terminus and Brunch Elektronik, his sets blend Afro House, melodic techno, and organic elements rooted in his years living in Ghana.
Beyond the booth, MoBlack served as A&R Manager for Traxsource’s Afro House division, contributing to the genre’s expansion and its official recognition on Beatport. Through his label, he continues to connect artists and audiences across continents.
Set in the open-air space of The Ruins, this daytime session runs from 3PM to 10PM, bringing together sound, culture, and community in one of New York’s most unique venues.
