Three-band night at Rough Trade Liverpool featuring shoegaze and post‑punk from Mahogany, Resplandor and Adele Dazeem
Automatic Music and Renovo International present:
Mahogany Live at Rough Trade Liverpool w/ special guests Resplandor and Adele Dazeem
Mahogany (NYC)
Mahogany dovetails elements of post-punk, shoegaze, disco and classical into futuristic, architectural, symphonic compositions. Duo Andrew Prinz and Jaclyn Slimm combine vocals, twin 12-string guitars, massive bass, densely-sequenced rhythms, synthesis, sampling, and generative projections for an immersive effect known as the “Hypercube.”
Performing live with artists like Anika, Vampire Weekend, Bloc Party, A Place To Bury Strangers, Broadcast, and many others, Mahogany garners continued acclaim with reviews and features in PostPunk.com, Brooklyn Vegan, Pitchfork, NME, The New York Times, and more.
Resplandor (Netherlands)
Resplandor is a Dutch shoegaze band known for its dense layers of guitars, ethereal vocals, and immersive cinematic soundscapes. Blending shoegaze with elements of post-punk and post-rock, the band has built a reputation for its intense, loud live performances.
Their latest albums, Tristeza and Pleamar, were produced by Robin Guthrie (Cocteau Twins) and mastered by Simon Scott (Slowdive). In 2026, the band is touring Europe and the UK with their Tristeza Tour, performing in London, Berlin, Amsterdam, Zurich, Strasbourg, Düsseldorf, Belfast, and more. They will also return to London in November to headline the Other Side Shoegaze & Dream Pop Weekender and are confirmed to perform at Gazefest in Belfast in August.
Adele Dazeem (UK)
Adele Dazeem is a band based in east London. Formed in 2020 by singer/guitarist Charlie Hearl, bassist Philippe O’Connor and drummer Frank Andrews, they have developed a sound that fuses a cutting urgency with ethereal ambience.
The name comes from an infamous John Travolta mispronunciation – seemingly in contrast to the weight of their music – but the idea of a simple misread name became the starting point for their creative exploration of identity, ego, attachment and the different parts of ourselves.
